photography is my passion

Hi, I am Katy! I started riding horses when I was six years old, even at the very young age at six I knew horseback riding was something I was going to do for the rest of my life. I grew up competing in  schooling shows and learning to appreciate every lesson horse I was given the chance to ride. Like most barn kids I spent all my free time at the barn watching everyone ride their horses, which is where I found out that one of the best ways to learn was by taking photos. You could find me every saturday and sunday ringside, camera in hand, watching people ride. There's nothing more exciting to me then taking the perfect photo of someone and seeing how excited they get to have that memory forever.
I started my professional photography journey in 2020. By 2021 I joined the Kind Media team where I have had the honor of photographing horse shows such as The Hampton Classic, WEF, The Devon Horse Show, Lake Placid, GLEF, and Longines GCT NYC. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of joining SEL photography's team for horse shows at Fairfield and Old Salem. Last but certainly not least, I've teamed up with Boss Mare Media. While working at Boss Mare, I've had the delight of shooting at Rotterdam, Chantilly, LGCT Riesebeck, and many more. Working alongside these absolute pros have given me so much knowledge and confidence to go out there and capture every moment.
 When I am not taking photos I am with my favorite fur kiddo Pequt. Pequt is an ex racehorse, polo pony, trail horse, turned jumper. There's not much she won't try. Over the last six years she's proven to be the bravest most patient horse I could have ever asked for. Pequt is the reason I turned this passion into a profession. She reminds me everyday just how special the bond between horses and riders really is.
